COURSES
COMPULSORY BASIC TRAINING (CBT)
Before any new motorcyclist is permitted to ride on the road, he or she must undergo a period of Compulsory Basic Training. This consists of five modules and takes most of the day, starting at 9:00am.
A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the CBT and must be shown to the DSA Examiner for your full motorcycle test.
Cost including hire of bike - £130
ROADRIDER COURSE
The course is for your full licence A2. This can include the CBT and a car licence holder could complete in 4 days spread over a number of weeks if required. Longer courses include tuition on the theory test, which has to be passed before taking any practical motorcycle or moped test.
Cost for a 5 day course, including bike and test fee - £740. Each additional day - £130
DIRECT ACCESS
If you are 21 and over you could do your ROADRIDER COURSE on a large machine exceeding 46.6 bhp. You then gain a full motorcycle licence to ride any size of machine without being restricted to 33 bhp for two years.
Cost for a 4 day course, including bike, CBT if required and test fee - £610. Each additional day - £130
BMF RIDER PLUS
RIDER plus is aimed at people who want or need more expert guidance and is open to anyone who has a full A1 or A licence. The course is designed to be completed with 6 to 7 hours. Where ever possible the course will include motorway, country and town riding. This is one to one, so a particular weakness can be concentrated on

BLUE RIBAND ADVANCED
The aim of the course is to improve the riding skills of experienced motorcyclists and to increase their enjoyment from motorcycling. All ‘Blue Riband’ Instructors/Assessors have been trained and ratified by The B.M.F.R.T.S. Blue Riband National Co-ordinator. There are 2 to 3 sessions, ending with an assessment, which could result in a pass certificate and badge.
